In this short article I want to pay more attention to Aurora websites structure and the way they function. Understanding the way Aurora CMS works will help you to avoid possible mistakes while website development.  The site builder consists of 4 main elements:

1. GUI or WYSIWYG Editor (allows to manage xml data feeds in visual mode and see how the changes take effect)

2. XML Data Feeds(used to store website data, main menu structure, pages content, email settings and so on. In fact you can edit them using any text editor if you want)

3. Website Core(it connects graphics elements with dynamic data and actually allows the site to function properly)

4. Website Graphics and Elements collected in theme.swf file(it is sort of a library that consists of all graphics elements, dynamic text fields, animations and effects used in the website). This part is the most important while templates development as it defines look and feel of flash website.

architectureAnd another important component is “website preloader” which actually checks if all parts of the site builder were loaded in browser, also it handles errors. Right at the moment we are working on simplifying the structure in order to allow less experienced flash developers create their own aurora templates.
